Ingredients -

Phellodendron amurense (Phellodendron) extract 440 mg

derived from min. stem bark 8.8 g

standardised to contain berberine 200 mg

Warnings, Cautions and Contraindications - 

• Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant.
• If diarrhoea persists for more than 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years, seek medical advice.
• Contraindicated during breastfeeding, lactation and in patients taking immunosuppressive drugs.
• Caution is warranted in betathalassaemia, unconjugated hyperbilirubinaemia and those with obstructed bile ducts.
• Until definitive research is available, do not use in jaundiced neonates.
• Caution is advised in patients receiving midazolam.
• Berberine may reinforce the effects of other drugs which displace the protein binding of bilirubin.
• Monitor patients who tend to experience constipation.
• Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
