The Wood Ear mushroom (Auricularia auricula-judae) is one of the oldest cultivated mushrooms in Asia, with documented use since the Tang Dynasty.
Its name — “Wood Ear” — reflects its ear-like form on decaying wood. In Chinese it is Hei Mu Er (Black Ear on the wood); the white, unrelated “Snow Fungus” is Bai Mu Er (White Ear on the wood).

Wood Ear is a widely distributed mushroom found in temperate and subtropical forests across the globe. Extensively cultivated and valued in cuisine for its slightly crunchy texture.

Directions & Serving Suggestions

Capsules:

2 capsules,1-3 times a day, or as recommended by your health professional.
Capsules may be opened and sprinkled into hot/cold drinks, smoothies, juices, soups or food if preferred.

Powder:

Take up to 1 heaped 5 ml tsp daily, (suggested intake 800mg-2.4g per day) or as recommended by your health professional. Add to hot or cold beverages or sprinkle into food for easy consumption.

1 heaped teaspoon = approx 2.4g.

Fully water-soluble, but may dissolve slowly and form small clumps initially due to its viscous heteropolysaccharide matrix. Stir continuously or blend into smoothies for best dispersion.
