Withania somnifera (Withania) extract 95 mg
derived from root dry 950 mg
Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) extract 62.5 mg
derived from root dry 750 mg
Scutellaria lateriflora (Skullcap) extract 940 µL
derived from root dry 470 mg
Panax ginseng (Korean Ginseng) extract 20 mg
derived from min. root dry 100 mg
standardised to contain ginsenosides
calculated as Rg1, Re, Rb1, Rc, Rb2 & Rd 1.68 mg
Warnings, Cautions and Contraindications -
• Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant.
• Contraindicated in patients taking phenelzine.
• Due to Licorice: caution is advised in patients receiving prednisolone by injection, in those taking albendazole and in those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives; contraindicated in hypertension, oedema and in those taking thiazide or loop diuretics.
• Caution is advised in patients taking central nervous system stimulants, insulin of oral hypoglycaemic drugs, nifedipine and warfarin.
• Korean Ginseng is best not used during acute infections.
• Monitor patients taking thyroxine.
• Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia. If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
